The 80s saw an explosion of the crossover of sportswear into general fashion that had started gaining momentum in the 70s. This led to curious hybrids like this one. It's essentially a soccer type pullover but without any club branding and intended directly for the fashion market. Its classed as an XL on the label, or in the current context would be an oversized boyfriend shape for a girl. Of course it's also a baggy format that became the standard for the pioneers of raving in the early 90s.
