We like to think that you have reached the point of looking for vintage most likely after a process that made you realise what has been apparent to us for a long time { even if we hadn't been in this industry for 35 years }; that the concept of 'get the look for less' is NOT a virtue, but an abomination. We are not snobs and supply a lot of very cool things for only somewhat more than the cost of international postage in some cases. But some things should be valued for what they are, something unique from another time and place and atmosphere that cannot be reproduced in a Chinese factory by people who still think that communism might one day have a happy ending ( for their oppressed workers; they know it won't. )

These glasses manage to embody those simple truths in a way that shouldn't need to be spelled out. But I will anyway. They are made in Italy by Safilo, the company behind the manufacture of a large segment of the worlds most illustrious eyewear brands. They also made their own brands here and there and in the 90s, Oxydo was one of them for the continental European market. It is certainly not well known but is made to the same standard as any that are. So how we promote this pair is as the same quality as the big league brands but we sell them for about half of what those brands charge ( we also sell those brands so we know this comparison ) and the consumer gets a very high degree of exclusivity for minimal outlay.
