One of Gianfranco Ferre's contributions to the 90s eyewear fashion landscape that was certainly more in touch with what was on the cutting edge of the mood on the street at that time. This particular pared down quirky tech look that had a slightly industrial feeling was of course led by Jean Paul Gaultier but the Italians were not taking that lying down and this vivid design with it's curious hinge joint feature and red candy covering was Ferres weapon of choice in that duel. But ultimately the selling point is how fresh these glasses look once again for the 2020s. Normally glasses this red would be the preserve of self proclaimed eccentrics but because the frame is a slender wire construction the colour becomes less imposing and more charming.
