The Alain Mikli company changed direction in the 90s away from their more outrageous 80s offerings towards a comparatively conservative form that led to generally wearable designs like this one but that still retain the inspirational flashes of ingenuity. In this instance it's a clever layering of the acetate horizontally in black and white layers inside a grey which is transparent, and thus shows the lines which are angled upwards so that when they end at the top of the arm they produce a feathery type visual effect.
There is no vulgar branding with the logo printed inside the right arm only. Exterior crests would have interfered with the effect of the lines. Ideal for someone who wants a top tier boutique brand without needing to announce to the world where it's come from.
