This particular segment of 90s trend that we would refer to as 'industrial tech' was a lot more interesting than the vulgar logo trend promoted by Versace etc. It is also a fact that it was the look of choice for cool people in London at that time. I know as I was selling both looks at the time and still am. They have that unmistakable minimal metal frame with curious arm bars and continued slender ear bends with little balls on the end to avoid sharp points. They even have matching coloured nose pads which is extremely unusual and the brushed pewter looking finish on the metal. This look was spearheaded by the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier, and we are quick to make clear, that even his mediocre versions of it are in excess of £400 sterling for quality that is somewhat better, but not that much. And like I said, I know this comparison as I sell those as well.
