We like to think that you have reached the point of looking for vintage most likely after a process that made you realise what has been apparent to us for a long time { even if we hadn't been in this industry for 35 years }; that the concept of 'get the look for less' is NOT a virtue, but an abomination. We are not snobs and supply a lot of very cool things for only somewhat more than the cost of international postage in some cases. But some things should be valued for what they are, something unique from another time and place and atmosphere that cannot be reproduced in a Chinese factory by people who still think that communism might one day have a happy ending.

These simple glasses manage to embody those simple truths in a way that shouldn't need to be spelled out. But I will nonetheless. They assemble numerous innovative ideas of their time: a metallic copper finish, slightly undersized proportions, curious square arm cut outs and of course the very concept of making an off the shelf product that has been produced to look worn already. A concept so banal today that it's not possible for someone under 30 to imagine a world without it. So it's left to us to declare a brand new modern concept called, 'get the look for more'. Because investing a little in something that was always intended for the apparel collector and not the garbage collector is the true formula for successful living.

Unused NOS in excellent condition. One tiny mark on the finish of the outside right arm.

The brushed effect on the lighter colour areas is extremely effective at catching the light in this instance.

They have spring hinges to accommodate wide fitting.
