A 1990s distillation of many interesting elements from a little further back in the scheme of things. Christian Dior set any number of standards for sunglasses from the 70s onwards and that definitely includes the general notion of plastic front with interesting metal arm details. Those were oversized in the 70s, they got gradually smaller in the 80s and by the 90s had arrived at exactly the kind of design we're presenting here. Of course Givenchy, Fendi and others made use of this chain link arm idea to great effect.

This pair are not branded but have a good standard of production for this price range. But the main feature is really the superb extra light tone lenses with an amber gradient which even if you were to request it as a special order on some existing sunglasses would cost as much as this entire piece.,
