This curious creation could only be described as a forerunner of the fanny pack bumbag idea that became a craze a decade later. it is a vinyl base with characteristic 80s velvet velour surface. The pouch can be removed to use the belt for holding trousers as normal or as a feature on a dress as pictured. There is a charming trim around th pouch which is real brass and is it's best feature.
Used and pre owned there is a patch of wear above the button on the pouch but surprisingly not anywhere else on the belt. This is very unfortunate and has been accounted for in the price.
