(Aside from the gallery owners vouching for you in order to profit.) It would likely be the clients meeting the artist and making a personal judgement on how convincing they are. In that unquantifiable and rarified context we fancifully argue that wearing some simple sunglasses like this, could very easily be the difference between " I see, let me think it over" and " OMG I could be in the presence of true genius, but cannot be sure because they're on a level beyond my comprehension, it felt like they could see into my very soul with their piercing pink eyes. I should pay whatever they ask and feel shame for having doubted them."
